Executive Vice President
Kimberly was an Air Force brat, but is proud to call Nebraska home. Kimberly is a graduate of Bellevue Public Schools, and went on to attend the University of Nebraska at Omaha where she received her Bachelors of Science in Psychology. Upon graduation, Kimberly worked in corporate recruiting for the Kiewit Mining Group before joining the Platte Institute as its first Director of Development in September 2009.

Kimberly built a thriving development program by implementing a multi-year strategic fundraising plan focused on building a broad, sustainable base of support. In five years, revenue increased by 71 percent, the donor housefile expanded by 69 percent, and the donor renewal rate improved from 42 to 78 percent, providing the Platte Institute with the crucial resources needed to support its organizational goals.

Kimberly transitioned into her new role as Executive Vice President in December 2014, where she is responsible for implementing the Platte Institute’s strategic plan, managing the financial operations of the organization, and working closely with the Platte Institute’s CEO, Board, and staff to advance the Platte Institute’s mission and vision.

Kimberly’s experience at the Platte Institute, coupled with her passion for philanthropy, led her to further her education. She completed her Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in August 2014, where her coursework focused on both public policy and nonprofit management. Upon graduation, Kimberly was inducted into Pi Alpha Alpha, an organization recognizing outstanding scholarship and accomplishment in public affairs and administration.
