In cities across America, renters and home-buyers face shockingly high prices. Rising home prices in cities with growing populations are not a law of nature. Until the 1970s, regions generally accommodated new residents by allowing new housing construction and maintaining a housing stock affordable to households with a range of incomes. What’s changed and how can policymakers and experts deal with this growing problem? The breakfast is an opportunity to meet three leading voices in the policy community and learn from their research and initiatives, which  show how federal, state, and local leaders can reach across the aisle and lead the way to making American housing affordable again.
